Colleen Huson Scholz passed away July 13, 2025 at her home in Lapoint, UT. She was born December 25, 1949 in town of Colo’n in the Republic of Panama.

Colleen graduated from BYU and Utah Tech.

She married Albert Scholz on July 28, 1977. They were blessed with 4 daughters; Rosey, Melissa, Holly, and Cassandra.

Colleen loved teaching children, and spent 25 years teaching young Boy Scouts to “Be Prepared” same for the 4 girls she raised.

She loved crafts and scrapbooking. Colleen had a love for gardening. She raised lots of animals from, dozens of lizards, birds, chameleons, dogs, and cats. She loved plants, two of which are over 8 ft tall now. Colleen raised cows, sheep, chickens, turkeys for Thanksgiving, some even 45 lbs.

She loved people, she was often found giving little presents to them. She loved her grandchildren, and doing all things fun with them, such as camping, fishing, and cooking.

Colleen was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and held many callings. She helped with countless service projects in Relief Society and loved helping in the temple. She enjoyed doing genealogy, and singing Hymns, and almost never used the songbook because she knew and memorized almost all the words.

She had a gift of hearing Heavenly Father directly answer her prayers. She is a candidate for Heaven.

She is survived by her husband, 4 children, sisters Nancy Armstrong and Sue Barber.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at 12 noon at the Lapoint LDS Chapel with a viewing help from 10:30- 11:45 prior to service. Burial will be in the Lapoint Cemetery.
