Charles Scholz, passed away on August 29, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on July 9, 1940, in New York, NY, he embodied the values of kindness and caring throughout his life, touching the hearts of many.
A dedicated professional, Charles unfailingly served his community, carrying not only letters but also warmth and camaraderie to all those he encountered in his daily rounds. He was a proud veteran, having served in the military from 1963 to 1965, an experience that shaped his character and forge his commitment to service.
Charles pursued some college education which further enriched his knowledge and understanding of the world. He was a man of quiet strength, with an unyielding love for his family. He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Tillie Pollen Scholz, whose memory he cherished dearly.
He leaves behind a legacy of love through his surviving family. He is survived by three sons: Michael Scholz; Philip and his wife Jamie Scholz; and Joseph and his wife Denise Scholz. Charles was also a proud grandfather to three grandchildren and a great-grandfather to one great-grandson, finding immense joy in their accomplishments and milestones.
Charles will be remembered not just for his career but for the loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather he was. His gentle spirit and compassionate nature will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Visitation will be held on September 7, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park, NY. A Prayer Service will take place later that evening, beginning at 7:30 PM. The family invites all who knew Charles to join them in celebrating a life well-lived.
