On November 28, 2023, Concepcion "Connie" Valdez Bautro of Washington Twp. Age 76 passed. Beloved wife of Erano. Devoted mother of Boone (Jovelyn) and Ronnie (May). Loving grandmother to Boone, Jr., Faith, Hannah, and Juliette. Dear sister of the late Bernardo Valdez and Estafania Valdez.
Concepcion had been battling multiple health issues for decades, but now she can finally rest.
Like many immigrants, she came to the United States for job opportunities and a chance at a new life. She worked as a telemetry technician at Jefferson Methodist Hospital in south Philadelphia until she retired. She and her family lived in the city until moving to the suburbs of New Jersey in 1980, where she has stayed ever since.
She led a simple life. Her favorite pastime was going to Atlantic City to play the slot machines and blackjack. Her home was always open to visiting relatives and friends. As time passed and her children grew and eventually became parents themselves, it was the joy and wonder on the faces of her grandchildren that would bring the most happiness to her heart.
Family and friends are invited to attend her open casket viewing on Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 8:15 -10:15 AM at Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd, Turnersville, NJ 08012. Followed by a mass to be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 500 Greentree Rd, Glassboro, New Jersey 08028 from 11am-Noon.
