Concetta Boccella

Concetta "Cettina" Boccella (nee DiDio), age 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 25, 2025.

Born in Enna, Italy, Concetta was the beloved daughter of the late Enrico and Agata DiDio. Seventy years ago, the DiDio family made the courageous journey from Sicily to South Philadelphia to begin a new life. Concetta dedicated the past 34 years to marriage to Salvatore Boccella. She was a perfectionist in the kitchen. She loved to cook many Sicilian style dishes and bake pastries - pizzelles and cream puffs were her specialty.

Concetta is survived by her husband Salvatore, her dear sister Maria Guerrini, Sally Ann Boccella-Bates (Brian), John Boccella (Carol), Donna Hanson, and Lisa Musumeci. She will be missed dearly by her grandchildren Drew Boccella, Christian Boccella, Matthew Boccella, Isabella Bates, Gavin Bates, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She is predeceased by her brother Guiseppe DiDio and her sister Phyllis Musumeci.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 11:00AM to 12:00PM at St. Simon Stock Parish, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 178 W. White Horse Pike, Berlin, NJ 08009. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:00PM. Entombment to follow in Berlin Cemetery Mausoleum, Berlin, NJ.
