LITTLE FALLS - Mrs. Connie Zink (LaPuma), age 76, of the town of Little Falls, New York, passed away peacefully Sunday morning August 3rd, 2025, at her home.
Connie was born in Ilion, New York on February 26th, 1949, daughter of the late Anthony and Antoinette (Lamanna) LaPuma. She was educated in the Ilion, NY School District. She earned her Teaching Degree in Math, from Oneonta College in 1971.
On August 30th, 1975, Connie was joined in marriage to Jerome Zink, a cherished union of 38 years. Mr. Zink passed away on May 17th, 2014.
She taught for many years at Annunciation School in Ilion, St Francis De Sales in Herkimer, and St. Mary’s Academy in Little Falls. After her teaching career, she worked with the ARC and LIFEPlan CCO NY, helping and supporting others.
Connie enjoyed being with her family gathered around the kitchen table, laughing and telling stories. Her fondest memories are baking and lunches with her friends. Connie touched the hearts of everyone who she had met. She is known for her kindness and generosity. She was short in height but tall in heart.
Survivors include her children; Lori Dempsey, Scott Zink and his wife Jennifer, Jerome Zink, II and his wife Patricia. Grandchildren; Brandon, Jessica, Christian, Jodi, Jordon, Cole, Mason, 11 great-grandchildren and her beloved nieces Gwen, Margerett, Anne Marie and their families. Siblings; Grace Strack and Francine Keddell and in laws David Strack, Kenneth Keddell, Lois Folmer, Robert and Linda Zink, and Kathie Holloway.
Connie was predeceased by her loving husband Jerry Zink, & her parents Antoinette and Anthony LaPuma, daughter Pamela Truesdale and grandsons Shane and Ryan.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday August 8th, 2025, at 10:00 AM at The Church of Sts. Anthony & Joseph, South Main Street in Herkimer, NY where Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated. Her casket will then be processed to Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frankfort, NY where she will be laid to rest with her husband. There are no calling hours. Friends and relatives are welcome to attend the church and burial services to follow.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Hospice and Palliative Care for their caring support. As a token of Connie’s memory please consider a donation in her memory to either Hospice or the Tunnel To Towers Foundation.
