Connie Marie Pritchard "Birdie",68, passed away peacefully with her loving husband by her side. Connie a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, was born in Sullivan, Indiana, on February 5, 1956, and is the daughter of Robert and Hazel (Butler) Wright. Connie brought joy and warmth to everyone she encountered throughout her life.
Connie dedicated many years as a part of the Lincoln High School cafeteria staff, where she treasured every moment spent with her colleagues and the students whom she lovingly considered family. Her infectious laughter and genuine spirit will be missed by all who knew her. A proud Christian woman, Connie embraced life with an unwavering faith, often finding joy in the simple pleasures-like karaoke, where she'd delight everyone by kicking off with favorites such as "Where Oh Where Can My Baby Be," followed by a lively rendition of "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree."
Her family was her world. Connie was a devoted wife to her loving husband, Lewis Pritchard, and a cherished mother to her daughter, Eva Taylor. She took great pride in her role as "Nana" and "Birddog" to her grandchildren, showering them with love and warmth. Connie was known for her signature send-off, always saying, "Love you, bye," a phrase that echoes in the hearts of her family and friends.
Connie's zest for life extended beyond her roles at home and work. She was an active member of the Moose Lodge, where she fostered friendships and enjoyed time shared with her pals. She loved county cruising, where she could indulge her passions of sight seeing and listening to music. Her frequent shopping trips to Walmart will be fondly remembered, as her family jokingly notes that she will be missed by the employees as she shopped there so often. She also enjoyed soaking up the sun in Panama City Beach Florida.
Connie is survived by her husband of 43 years, Lewis Pritchard; children, Eva Taylor (Jason Dreiman), Kay Jenkins (Rick), Dee Stone (Norman), and Chadd Pritchard; siblings, Judy Carter, Cathy Pomeroy, and Bobby Wright; grandchildren, Justin Abbott, Kayla Kelm, Charley Abbott, Macy Taylor, Dusty Taylor, Elsie Pritchard, Lewis Pritchard, Gabby Groh, Josh Stone, Jake Stone, Damon Carroll, and Brock Elbin; and 22 great grandchildren.
