Connie Bratcher Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sanders Funeral Home - Lubbock on Mar. 12, 2026.
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Connie Marie Bratcher, a treasured wife, mother, grandmother, adventurer, lover of life, and devoted nurse, who left this world on March 8, 2026, at the age of 72. Born in London, Ontario, Canada, on July 23, 1953, Connie's journey led her to the United States in December of 1991, where she dedicated herself to both her family and her career in healthcare.

Connie graduated with an Associate's Degree in Nursing and made a significant impact as a Registered Nurse at Covenant Hospital, where she selflessly cared for countless patients until her retirement in March of 2001. Her compassion and commitment to her profession were evident in every interaction, and her nurturing spirit extended far beyond the walls of the hospital. She married David Bratcher on June 2, 2001.

A proud mother to her daughter, Nicole Baker-Thompson, and son, T. J. Baker, step-son, Casey Bratcher and step-daughter, Jamie Mendez and a loving sister to Carrie Bilyea, Connie cherished her family above all. She found immense joy in the laughter and love shared with her eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The holidays, especially Christmas, held a special place in her heart, and she delighted in creating cherished memories with those she loved.

A memorial service to celebrate Connie's life will be held on March 20, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Sanders Memorial Chapel. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a remarkable woman whose legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Connie Marie Bratcher will be deeply missed, and her spirit will forever illuminate the hearts of her family and friends. May she rest in peace, knowing the love she shared continues to thrive in the lives she touched.
