CONNIE JEANNE DAVIS

Connie Jeanne Davis, age 74, of Belton, Missouri, passed away at home on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.

Services will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 13025 Wornall Rd., Kansas City, Missouri 64145. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m.

Connie was born in Panguitch, Utah on October 2, 1950 to John Yardley and Ivadell (Stapley) Yardley. Connie was born into and grew up in the church, and throughout her life was faithful and active in the church. Connie graduated from high school and briefly continued her education at Utah State University. The highlight of her first year was to be the runner-up to the Rodeo queen in the beauty contest at the university. She met Michael Malyn and soon they married. His landscape architectural occupation moved them across the county, eventually ending up in the greater Kansas City area. By this time they had two sons Justin and David. The couple divorced and Connie became a legal secretary eventually leading to a position as a Senior Legal Secretary working for Sprint. It was here that she met Kay Davis and they joined forces. For the past twenty-five years Connie and Kay have enjoyed a wonderful lifetime of gardening, taking classes in pottery, basket weaving and painting. Certainly the highlight of all these years has been time spent with family and particularly grandchildren.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ivadell Yardley; brother Thomas Alan Yardley and her first husband Michael Malyn.

She is survived by her loving husband, Kay Lyman Davis; two sons, Justin Dean Malyn (Kimberley) and David Elliot Malyn (Brittney); six stepchildren, Karlyn Eoff (Jason), Kevin Davis, Kamille Smalls (Cean), Kimball Davis, Kayce Davis (Megan), and Kara Davis; five siblings, Bob Yardley, Shirley Yardley, David Yardley, Karen Yardley, and Kathy Carpenter; grandchildren, Justin Michael Malyn, Chase Laven Malyn, Angelica Day, Jasper Jane Malyn, David Russell Malyn, Ivadell Malyn, Abigail Nelle Yorgason, Gabriel Jonathan Yorgason, Joshua Soren Yorgason, Noah Perry Yorgason, Elijah Edward Yorgason, Mason Simons, Jasper Simons, Leo Davis, and Gus Davis.
