Connie Keller Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Schnackenberg Funeral Home - Libby on Dec. 22, 2025.
Connie Marlene Keller, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at home on December 18, 2025.

Connie was born on December 6, 1940, in Rugby, North Dakota to Melvin and Margaret Nygaard. She met the love of her life, Terrence "Terry" Keller in Minot, North Dakota and they married on October 1, 1958. They made Libby their home in 1960. Connie dedicated her early years as a homemaker before she started working at Family Flicks, Express Photo, and volunteering at the local museum.

Connie's life was a testament to kindness and strength; her unforgettable smile and sweet nature endeared her to everyone she met. Connie had a talent for sewing, crafting, and baking. She enjoyed reading and bowling; but her greatest joy was spending time with family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment with them. Her legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

Connie is survived in death by her six children; Val Souther (Kim), Kalispell; Brad Keller, Libby; Carrie Peterson (Steve), Libby; Kevin Keller, Libby; Kelly Gilbert (James), Mountain Home, ID; Stacy McRell (Jim), Libby; sister, Margaret Goetz, Rapid City, SD; brother, Blanchard Nygaard, Minot, ND; brother, Dennis Nygaard, Burlington, ND; twelve grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Connie was preceded in death by her spouse, Terry Keller; parents, Margaret and Melvin Nygaard; brothers Melvin and Neil Nygaard.

A celebration of life is scheduled for 11 am on January 2, 2026, at the Libby Christian Church, followed by a luncheon. Arrangements are under the care of Schnackenberg Funeral Home of Libby, MT. Online condolences and memories may be shared by visiting www.schnackenbergfh.com.
