Connie Wood Menlove passed away peacefully surrounded by family on 5 December 2025. Connie was born 20 October 1950 in Payson, UT to Charles and Bertha Wood. She graduated from Payson High School with Honors. She went on to graduate from Brigham Young University with a B.S. in Nursing. She was valedictorian, graduating Summa Cum Laude and was one of BYU's most outstanding Women. She then completed her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Utah.
Connie had a distinguished career of over 30 years in Nursing that included time at the University of Utah Hospital as a Charge Nurse and Nurse Manager where she specialized in orthopedics, Neurology and burn patient care. Throughout her time as a Nurse she also enjoyed mentoring upcoming nursing students, instructing at 3 separate universities.
Connie joined the U.S. Army in 1973 retiring after 24 years of service as a Lieutenant Colonel. During this time she deployed for Desert Storm in Augsburg, Germany with the 34th General Hospital.
Connie married the love of her life Alan Menlove on 27 December 1978. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, neighbor and friend. She was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She had a life long love of learning, receiving numerous certifications and awards. She loved reading, sewing, crafting and spending time with her kids and grandkids.
She is survived by her children, Emily; Wade (Kareena); Amanda (Kyle) Erdmann; Alicia (Chad) Meyer and Hilary (Ben) Beaudreau and her step children Jeff; Marv (Julia) and Todd (Gayle). She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alan; Son, Jed; grandson, Cody; Brothers, Charles and Max Wood and her parents.
A viewing will be held Friday, 12 December 2025 from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State St. Funeral Services will be held Saturday 13 December 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Midas Creek 7th ward house located at 10860 S. 3200 W. South Jordan, UT 84095. With a viewing held one hour prior to the funeral. An interment following the funeral will be held at the Murray City Cemetery, 5490 S. Vine St., Murray, UT.
