Connie Sayler, 71, of Garrison, passed away on April 10, 2025. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Thompson Funeral Home, Garrison, ND. Connie Betty (Herrmann) Sayler was born on November 14, 1953, in Garrison, ND, to Elmer and Irene (Mautz) Herrmann. She was raised and educated in Garrison, attending Bob Callies Elementary School and graduated from Garrison High School. She met James Sayler in Garrison and later married on June 16, 1978, in Garrison. She worked for the variety store for a few years and later went to work for the Garrison Public School System for many years as a librarian aide and teachers' aide. She was a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader for many years. In her younger years she enjoyed being on the wagon train and square dancing on horseback. She enjoyed crafting, plastic canvas and scrapbooking. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Connie is survived by her son, Steve Sayler (Mary Gregor), of Garrison; daughter, Sandy Sayler (Dennis Mautz), of Coleharbor; grandchildren, Cassidee Sayler (Hunter Moore), Trevor Mautz, both of Garrison, Bryen and Jordin Schaefer, Bismarck, ND; sister, Kim Grimm (Jed), of Jamestown, ND; mother, Irene, of Jamestown, ND; sister-in-law, Sharlene Fredrich, of Garrison; nephew, Rocky Pease, of Garrison; and numerous cousins. Connie is preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim"; son, Chad Herrmann; father, Elmer; aunts, uncles and cousins.
