Connie Steelman Obituary
Steelman. Connie was born on February 1, 1957 in Bozeman, MT to Tracy & Esther Scrimsher.
She graduated from Sherman County Union High School in Rufus, OR in 1975 and obtained her
bachelor's degree in physical education and health from OSU. Connie moved to Hines in 1991
when she took the position of Postmaster at the Hines post office. She retired from that position
in 2024. Connie passed away in her home on November 27, 2024 at the age of 67. Connie is
survived by her husband Ralph Steelman, her daughter Laura Cox and one grandchild.
At Connie's request, no memorial services will be held. If you would like to make a donation in

I met Connie at the post office in Hines. She was postmaster at the time. I loved her gratefulness and cheerfulness. She loved flowers and let me take care of the flower beds out front. I am so sorry she had such a short retirement. We will miss you grately !
