Connie Mae Bowers Sutterfield, age 72, of Wake Village, Texas died Wednesday, October 8, 2025 in a local nursing center.

Mrs. Sutterfield was born December 14, 1952 in Texarkana, Texas. She was retired from the City of Texarkana, Texas and was a member of the Pleasant Grove Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Leonard Bowers.

She is survived by her husband, Lonny Sutterfield of Wake Village, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mara and Chris Deramcy of Loxley, Alabama and Sara and Kyle Krobot of Texarkana, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Bill McKamey of Tulsa, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Major, Riley, Wyatt, Conor and numerous other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, October 13, 2025 at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery with David Brockus officiating. Burial is under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon from 2-4

Connie was like a big sister to me. I knew her from Waterall Christian Church, where my father was minister. We grew up and went to Dallas Christian College, she a year ahead of me, but also serving as secretary at DCC! We had a common ground in Christ and she was truly an outstanding, kind and very intelligent friend I will always remember! May God bless you Connie, Lonny and family in your walk in life! I am saddened to learn of Connie's passing. I worked with her for a number of years with the City of Texarkana, Texas. She was a lovely lady and may she rest in peace. My prayers go out to her family during this difficult time.
