Connie West Obituary
Born January 11, 1940, in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Thelma Irvin Vance. Connie was preceded in death by her husband, William West on July 17, 2017; her son, Alan West; her grandson, Luke Cabbage; her son-in-law, Bill Cabbage; and five brothers and sisters.
She retired from Stone Container in New Philadelphia after 25 years of service. Connie enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers, and working outdoors around the house. She was known for her caring nature and willingness to help others.
Survivors include her children, Billie (Rick) Fioretto of Nevada and Kathy Cabbage of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Grant Fioretto, Katie Shaffer, Andrew West, and Ashanti West; great-grandchildren, Noah and CJ Shaffer, and Izaias and Isaac Fernandez; and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. A service celebrating Connie's life will be held on Saturday, December 27th starting at 11:00 am in the Dover funeral home with Pastor Larry Fletcher officiating. The family will be greeting friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
