Constance “Connie” Joan Shaker, 81, passed away in her home, surrounded by family on November 15, 2024. She was born August 31, 1943, in Terre Haute to John Francis Mershon and Drusilla Worthington Mershon. She was a member of 1st Assembly of God for over 30 years. She loved the Lord and witnessed to whoever she encountered. She loved flowers and kept a garden at her home. She enjoyed sewing and cooking. She loved to sing, from an early age she would sing in the choir at church, festivals, and fairs. She loved to vacation in the Smoky Mountains, she and her husband would go a couple times every year. She is proceeded in death by her parents, her in-laws, George Shaker, and Amy Bastide, and sister-in-law, Sandy Mershon. She is survived by her husband Ronny Shaker, daughters, Lori Williams (Jeff), Cindy Flinn (Max), Rhonda Thompson (Russ), brother, Frank Mershon, and sister, Susan Savant (Norman), brother-in-law, Rick Shaker (Shari) grandchildren, Amanda, Elysia (Craig), Thia, Nolan (Lauren) Justin (Ashland) Garrett (Allison), along with 9 great grandchildren, and her loyal dog Peanut. Services for Connie will be Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 1 pm in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN 47885. Visitation will be from 11 am until service time at the funeral home on Wednesday. Pastor Randy Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Donations can be made to 1st Assembly of God; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
