Constance Jean "Connie" Giles, a beloved mother and cherished member of the Carrollton community, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, in Frankfort, Kentucky, one day shy of her 87th birthday. Born on November 27, 1937, in Carrollton, Carroll County, Kentucky, Connie’s life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family.
Connie’s pride and joy came from her role as a mother to her daughter, "Jill". Her love and commitment to her family were evident in every aspect of her life. She took immense pleasure in sharing moments with her loved ones and nurtured those relationships with tenderness and grace.
Throughout her life, Connie was an active member of the Carrollton Wesleyan Church.
Her daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie Jill Giles and Joel Damron of Midway, KY, survive her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Acree, Jr. and Velma Henry Acree, and her husband, Bobbie Gene Giles, who passed away on February 24, 2023. Connie now joins them in eternal rest.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, at 809 Highland Ave, Carrollton, KY. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at the same location with the Rev. Dr. Heather M. McColl officiating the service.
As we remember Connie Giles, let us cherish the memories of her kind spirit, her deep love for family, and her profound faith, which continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy will undoubtedly live on through her loved ones, who carry her memory in their hearts.
