Connie Carpenter Horn, age 80, passed away on March 6, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital–East in Memphis, Tennessee.
She was born on October 31, 1945, in Moscow, Tennessee, to the late Raymond Carpenter and Ruth Buffalo Henry. Connie devoted her life to her family and considered her most important role to be that of a loving wife and mother. She took great pride in caring for her home and family, always placing their needs above her own.
She is survived by her three daughters, Hope Nance (Jeff), Charity Beville, and Faith Lester (Mike); nine grandchildren, Brock Yarbro (Diane), Adam Yarbro (Christy), John Denniston (Allison), Christy Dover (Bryan), Drake Bailey, Micah Beville, Noah Beville, Savannah Beville, and Ainsley Beville; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Horn; her parents, Raymond Carpenter and Ruth Henry; one sister, Annie Ruth Lax; one brother, Clyde Brown Carpenter; and one great-grandchild, Olivia Harchfield.
Services for Ms. Horn will be held Friday, March 13, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Peebles Main Chapel in Somerville, Tennessee, with Bro. Tony Watkins officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM prior to the service at the chapel. Interment will follow in Somerville City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
