Constance Ann "Connie" Scott Little of Mobile passed away peacefully at 2:15am on March 11, 2025. Born on April 14, 1947 in Wheaton Illinois, Connie was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. Connie was preceded in death by her father and mother, Raymond and Rosella Scott. Connie is survived by her loving husband, James "Jimmy" Little, her sisters Bonnie Duval (David), Patty Easley, and Kathy Tate; Connie's son, Yoshiya Watanabe (Yoko), daughters Rae Murakami, and grandchildren, Cayden Watanabe, Kayla Watanabe, Mayu Onodera, Tomoki Murakami, and Haruki Murakami.
Connie graduated from Semmes High School in 1965 and received her Bachelor and master's in education from the University of South Alabama. She taught in Mobile high schools for a few years before accepting an appointment from her uncle's church in California to teach in Japan, where she lived, taught, and ministered for her Savior for over thirty years.
A generous and faithful Christian, Connie was a woman of deep faith whose love for God and others shone brightly in all that she did. She embodied the qualities of kindness, compassion, and unwavering love. Her faith was her cornerstone, and she found great joy in serving her family, church and community. She touched many lives around the world with her warmth, generosity, and wisdom, and her spirit of service inspired those around her. Connie is now in her eternal home with her Savior who died for her, was resurrected, and has prepared a place for her.
Visitation will be held at Mobile Memorial Garden Funeral Home, 6040 Three Notch Road, Tillman's Corner, AL on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 9AM until service time at 10AM in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made to Dayspring Baptist Church/ Missions 2200 Cody Road South, Mobile, AL 36695, or to Waterfront Rescue Missions, 279 North Washington Avenue, Mobile, AL 36603 in memory of Connie Little.
The family would like to gratefully thank the staff at The Retreat Hospice by Saad, for their exceptional care and compassion for Connie.
