Constance (Cerlanek) Rasimas, 94 of East Haven passed away September 16, 2025 at St. Raphael Campus of Yale New Haven Hospital. She was born January 6, 1931 in New Haven to Stanislaus and Regina (Mucha) Cerlanek. Constance is survived by her two loving children: Cynthia Williams (Anthony) of Vero Beach, Florida and Raymond Rasimas (Denise) of Cheshire along with five grandchildren: Christopher Pinches (Alyson), Justin Pinches, Anthony Williams III (Katie), Michael Rasimas (Kristian) and Jonathan Rasimas (Paige). Constance is also survived by her seven great grandchildren: Owen Pinches, Zoe Pinches, Elliott Pinches, Forrest Pinches, Roland Williams, Emmett Williams and Walker Williams.
Constance is preceded in death by her parents, former husband, Raymond Rasimas Sr. and nine siblings.
Constance is a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, wife, sister, aunt and friend. She grew up and went to school in New Haven and is a longtime member of the St. Clare's church. She is a veteran of the U.S. Army who served during the Korean conflict. She was a singer at the officers club, while stationed in Okinawa, Japan and sometimes performed standup comedy for other groups and associations. She is well known for her cooking and baking skills. She had many other hobbies, such as crafting and crocheting. She also donated her time and skills to helping to cook for homeless shelters. She had many challenges in life but never let that define her.
Family will receive friends from 10 AM until 11:30 AM on Wednesday September 24, 2025 in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Her funeral procession will then leave the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home for 12 PM (NOON) Mass of Christian Burial in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, 80 Taylor Ave., East Haven with Committal and Full US Army Honors to follow at All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
