Constance Louise Riebling

Constance "Connie" Riebling (née Kent), born on March 2, 1953, in Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025, in Sarasota, Florida after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 72 years old.
Connie was the youngest daughter of the late William B. Kent Jr. and Madelyn Kent (née Edam). Beloved wife of Gregory Riebling, cherished stepmother of Melissa Sanders. Loving grandmother of Jon, Megan and Makenna, great grandmother of Audree, Alivia, Adorra and Madeline. Dearest sister of William B Kent III (deceased) (Peggy, deceased), George "Buzz" Kent (deceased) (Pat), Madelyn "Sis" Smith (deceased) (Richard) and Marcie Grealis (Robert). Sister in law of Debra and Deanna Butler (Steve), daughter in law of Joan (Hank, deceased). Much loved aunt to a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She will also be missed by many friends.
Connie dedicated her life to the service of others through a distinguished career in the medical field. After earning her degree from The Ohio State University, she began her professional journey at Bay Health as a respiratory therapist. It was there that she met her future husband, Greg.
Her passion for improving healthcare extended far beyond the bedside. In the later years of her career, Connie worked with the Joint Commission, where she traveled extensively across the United States. Her work helped ensure that hospitals and healthcare organizations upheld the highest standards of patient care. Through her tireless efforts and commitment to excellence, she made a lasting impact on countless lives and institutions.
Outside of her professional accomplishments, Connie found joy in reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She was an avid sports fan attending many games all around the country.
A Funeral Mass will be held on October 16, 2025, at 10:30 AM at St Francis Cabrini 12001 69th St E. Parrish, FL. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 PM at Sarasota National Cemetery 9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota, FL. No flowers please.
