Constance Ruch Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tippecanoe Funeral & Cremation Services on Jan. 10, 2026.
Constance Lou Ruch, 79, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026.

Constance was born on August 21, 1946, and was a proud graduate of Montmorenci High School, Class of 1964. She continued her education at Indiana State University, laying the foundation for a dedicated professional career.

She spent more than 25 years with GTE, retiring after a long and loyal tenure, and continued to share her expertise through contract work for several years thereafter. Constance took pride in her work and was respected for her reliability and commitment.

Constance was a devoted and active member of Preceptor XI Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, a philanthropic sorority she cherished for over 50 years. Through this organization, she formed lifelong friendships and generously supported charitable causes within her community.

She is survived by her loving siblings: Mary (Larry) Payton of Oviedo, Florida; Joan (Wayne) Buck of Lafayette, Indiana; H. Willis (Bill) II (Roberta) Ruch of Rossville, Indiana; and Cheryl Blickenstaff of Westfield, Indiana. She is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews, all of whom she held dear.

She was preceded in death by her parents; H. Willis and Alma (Wien) Ruch; her sisters, Charlotte Tillet and Patricia Cos; and her niece, Rebecca Morgan.

A private Celebration of Life with interment at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette, Indiana, will take place in the Spring of 2026.

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Connie, my classmate at Montmorenci. We shared so many memories, and I usually tried to get "the girls" together when I visited Lafayette for our annual family reunion. After the girls had dinner, Connie always graciously invited us to her home to continue our visit. She was the perfect hostess. I will miss our conversations and her greetings on Facebook.
My prayers are with the Ruch family as they mourn the loss of their sister and aunt.
