Treecee Arnett Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tippecanoe Funeral & Cremation Services on Feb. 2, 2026.
Treecee "Tee" Ann Arnett, known lovingly as "Tee" to her family and friends, passed away far too soon on January 19, 2026, at her home in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Treecee was the heart of her family. If you asked her children to describe her, the first thing they'd tell you-without hesitation-was that she was the best cook to ever walk the earth. Cooking wasn't just something she did; it was her love language. She made sure each of her children became good cooks themselves, a legacy they will proudly carry forward for the rest of their lives.

Nothing in this world brought Treecee more joy than her grandchildren. Her kids often joked that once the grands arrived, they no longer existed-and she wouldn't have argued that point. She adored spoiling them, loving them fiercely, and soaking up every moment with them.

Treecee was warm, friendly, and always willing to help anyone in need. She had a generous spirit and a welcoming heart that drew people to her. She also had a playful, mischievous side that her kids will never forget. Treecee loved scaring her children any chance she got-sneaking around corners, popping up out of nowhere, or quietly waiting for the perfect moment to get a scream or startled reaction. The laughter and joy it brought her were unmistakable, and those moments are memories her family will cherish forever.

She loved horror movies-especially anything Stephen King-and was a devoted fan of the Nightmare on Elm Street series. When she wasn't watching a good scare, you could find her enjoying her favorite TV shows, Charmed and House. Music filled her home as well, with R&B and gospel being her favorites.

A woman of faith, Treecee was a lifetime member of, Deaconess of Word of Life Fellowship Church where she found strength, comfort, and community.

She is survived by her loving mother, Mary Booker of Lafayette, Indiana; her children, Alice Bowman of West Lafayette, Trenesha Arnett of West Lafayette, and Tyrell Arnett of Lafayette; and her treasured grandchildren, Elias Bowman, Eren Mathieu, Noah Dobson, and Raelynn Arnett.

She is also survived by her siblings, Lisa Arnett of West Lafayette, Felicia Arnett of Lafayette, LeShawn Arnett of West Lafayette, and Perrell Arnett of West Lafayette; her dear friends, Valerie Parker of Chicago, Illinois, and Shelly Barhydt; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who loved her dearly.

Treecee was preceded in death by her father, James Arnett; her stepfather, Samuel Booker; and her grandmother, Katrina Foster, grandmother Sally May-Felix, Aunt Callie Felix, Aunt Joyce Ann, Aunt Mary Ann, uncle Robert Lee and Uncle Henry Lee.

Treecee "T" Ann Arnett will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered for her big heart, incredible cooking, playful spirit, unwavering faith, and the boundless love she poured into her family.
