Jerry Dewayne Arnett

Jerry Dewayne Arnett, Sr., age 68, passed away in Ardmore, Okla. on Sunday, January 18, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, January 31, 2026, under the direction of the Church at Corinth Baptist Church of Ardmore, Okla. with Pastor Abraham Walton Jr. Officiating. A viewing will follow from 12:00 PM until 4:00 PM, at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home.

Jerry was born on April 13, 1958, in Milo, Okla. to Alex Arnett Sr. and Johnnie Mae (Stevenson) Arnett. He attended and graduated from Milo Schools. He started working for Swift Truck Driving and later took a job with Wilkinson's Nursery for many years. Jerry then started his own business doing landscaping throughout Ardmore as a private contractor. Jerry loved everything about plants which helped with his dedication to his job. He was an avid Cowboys fan and loved to ride his bike anytime he could.

He was preceded in death by both his parents, siblings, Emma Wright, Linda Arnett, Sanford Arnett, Willie Arnett, Samuel Arnett, David Arnett, and Johnny Arnett and one grandson, Micah Seth Johnson.

Jerry is survived by his daughters, Jerrita Arnett, Shamica Arnett, and son, Jerry Dewayne Arnett Jr. and wife, Hannah. Five grandchildren; Xavier Washington, Carlin Foy, Kydan Sharp, Harmon Arnett, and Arlo Arnett and siblings; Mary Franklin, Adena Arnett-Laster, Violevia Arnett, Glenn Arnett, Alex Arnett II, and Jess Arnett and longtime friend, Tuck Wilkinson. Multitude of Nieces, and Nephews and a host of Family and friends.
