Constance "Connie" Marie Wickert, age 83, of Rochester, MN passed away on November 9, 2024 at home.
Connie was born August 19, 1941 in East Chain, Minnesota the daughter of Randolph and Stella (Wildes) Laabs. She grew up in Fairmont, Minnesota, graduated and attended Vo-Tech. In 1965, she was baptized and confirmed in the catholic faith at St. Pius Catholic Church in Rochester, MN. Connie was united in marriage to Duane Wickert on June 22, 1966 in Rochester, MN. She worked as a production scheduler supervisor at Telex Communications until her retirement in 1995.
She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and Pax Christi Catholic Church. She and Duane wintered in Las Vegas. Connie's hobbies were knitting, doll making, playing bingo, slot machines, playing cards and board games.
She is survived by her children, Sam (Susie) Sletten of Ham Lake, MN, Lori Withem of Mantorville, MN, Lisa (LeRoy) Spearman of Byron, MN, Jeff Wickert of Stewartville, MN, Jodi (Allan) Martin of Fairmont, MN; daughter-in-law, Linda Wickert of Rochester, MN; 18 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; siblings, Beverly Brennan, Roger (Dorothy) Laabs, Jeff Laabs and Greg Laabs as well as many other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Randolph Laabs and Stella Ballard; husband, Duane Wickert; son, Jerome Wickert; brother Robert Laabs.
Funeral Mass for Connie and Duane Wickert will be held 11:30 AM Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Pax Christi Catholic Church, 4135 18th Ave NW, Rochester, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
