Constantine Buonanno Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 12, 2025.
Constantine "Cos" Buonanno, 82, passed away on September 7, 2025, in Palm Harbor, Florida. Born on February 15, 1943, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Cos lived a full and vibrant life marked by dedication to his family, his craft, and his many passions.

After serving in the United States Army, Cos built a long and respected career as the Purveyor of Washington Decorators, where he worked as a housepainter and paper hanger. His meticulous attention to detail and pride in his work earned him the trust of clients and colleagues alike. In 2008, after decades of hard work in the Northeast, he retired and relocated to Palm Harbor, Florida.

Cos was a man of many interests. He found joy in fishing and gardening, classic movies and the opera. He also had a passion for shooting sports. A devoted fan of both the New York Giants and New York Rangers, Cos never missed an opportunity to cheer on his favorite teams.

Those who knew Cos will remember him for his sharp wit and an uncanny ability to recall even the most obscure facts-a gift that made every conversation with him memorable. His humor and encyclopedic knowledge of trivia brought laughter and amazement to family gatherings and friendly chats alike.

He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 60 years, Joyce Buonanno of Palm Harbor, FL; his son Christopher Buonanno of Little Rock, AR; daughter Juliane Abudi and her husband Ramzi Abudi; and grandsons Carmine and Vincent Abudi, all of Palm Harbor, FL.

Cos was predeceased by his father Carmine Buonanno, mother Mary Palma Morrocco Buonanno, and sister Angela Buonanno.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire stories filled with laughter for years to come.
