Constantine Drivas February 15, 1937 - October 23, 2025
It is with great sadness that the family of Constantine (Gus) Drivas announces his passing. On October 23, 2025, Gus, 88, passed away peacefully in his sleep in Bluffton, South Carolina, where he resided for the past six years.
Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, Gus attended Zoodohos Peghe Greek Church School. After marrying his beloved wife Eugenia, the two settled in Rockland County, where they raised their three children. He was predeceased by Eugenia in December 1998.
Ever a proud Marine, Gus served his country in the invasion of Lebanon and remained committed to the Marine Corps community through his longtime involvement with the Rockland County Marine League. He proudly marched in parades and supported charitable causes such as Toys for Tots.
While raising his family, Gus was an active member of his community. He volunteered with local sports organizations, including Little League and the North Rockland Soccer Association, where he shared his love of teamwork and mentorship with countless young athletes.
A devoted parishioner of Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, Gus served faithfully in many leadership roles, including President of the Parish Council, as well as, Founder and Head Youth Leader for GOYA. His faith, generosity, and dedication to service were evident throughout his life.
Gus was also an active member of AHEPA (the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association), where he proudly served as District Governor. Through his leadership, he worked to promote the ancient Hellenic ideals of education, philanthropy, civic responsibility, family and individual excellence through community service and volunteerism.
Above all, Gus treasured time spent with his family. He is survived by his daughter, Elaine Scott (David), and two sons, George (Karen) and James (Christine). He was lovingly known as "Pouli" to his grandchildren - Andrew Scott, Angelica Scott Hackett (Patrick), Alexandra Scott Petrovic (Vladimir), Anna Scott, Brianna Drivas Nelson (Adam), Nicolette Drivas McKean (Zach), Noah Drivas, and Eli Drivas - and to his great-grandchildren, Zoey McKean, Maia McKean, Luke McKean, Winston Nelson, and Patrick Hackett III.
Gus will be remembered for his sharp wit, warm heart, and steadfast devotion to his family, faith, and country. May his memory be eternal.
