Cora Black Obituary
Tootsie was born on October 7, 1938 on Washinton County, VA to the late Paul Stewart and Mary Cecil. Tootsie was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clay Black; brother, Wilber Stewart ,sister, Jamie Burnett; son in law, (Denzil) P'Pool, best friend, Leroy Pedder.
Tootsie is survived by her son, Tommy Bowman; daughter, Nicki Bowman Binkley; chosen son, Dale Baggett; chosen daughter, Debra (Tabitha) Baggett; added daughters, Mary (Bobby Hansen) and Martha P'Pool; grandchildren, Christy (Tim) Gragg, Jadie (Kirsten) Binkley, Daniel (Tara) Hightower, James P'Pool, Lacy (Chris) Edmondson; six great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sisters by marriage, Elnora Long, Hazel (Junior) Johnson, Judy Black, Carolyn (Orgel) Holland; extended family, Norma Pedder, Bobby, Wendy, Josie and Layton; and father of her children, Walter Bowman, Sr.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 12:00 PM in the Chapel of Neal Tarpley Parchman Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at the funeral home.
