Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 23. 2023 a Laodicea Baptist Church, 101 Westbrooks Road, Forsyth, Georgia. Pastor Thomas Head officiating. Burial in church cemetery. Service is scheduled to be Streamed Lived on our Facebook page.
Public viewing will be Monday, May 22 from 2-6 PM. Keep the family in prayer.
Cora Lee Head was born on June 30, 1938 to the parentage of Roy Barkley, Sr and Mary Lee Barkley. She was a dedicated member of Laodicea Baptist Church.
Cora (Ma) spent many years as a CNA and as a cook at Forsyth Nursing Home. She enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening, and playing cards. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. Whom was loved by everyone.
On Friday, May 19, 2023, she gained her wings to be with the Lord. She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie James Head, Sr. She was also preceded in death by four brothers: JLynn Barkley, Roy Barkley, Jr, Willie Barkley, and Henry Barkley.
She will be greatly missed by her children: Brenda (Willie) Watkins, Shirley (Cornell) Head, Gary Head, Valerie Head, Cornita (JR) Shannon, Willie Head, Jr, Wanda (Alvin) Richardson, Felicia (Derrick) Henderson, Carolyn Head; one loving brother: Lonnie Barkley and four loving sisters: Ida Watson, Gracie Robinson, Lue Barkley, and Ann Barkley; A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, family, friends, and loved ones. devoted cousins: Dorothy Stewart and Robert Frank Bowden
