Cora Kline Obituary

Nelsonville Cora Lisa Kline, age 70, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away February 16, 2026, at The James Cancer Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.

Lisa was born October 13, 1955, in Nelsonville to John Clouston and Gertrude Wend Clouston. She graduated from Nelsonville-York High School and Ohio University. Lisa dedicated her career to education, teaching 6th grade for one year and 1st grade for 28 years at Nelsonville-York Schools. She was an avid quilter, a member of the Hocking Valley Quilters, and cherished her friendships with fellow quilters at the Mae-Lynne Maker Studio and on all of their many quilting retreats.

Surviving are her husband of 40 years, David Kline; sons Timothy (Kylie) Kline and Benjamin Kline, both of Nelsonville; grandsons Jaxson Kline and Beckett Kline; sisters Judy (Charles) Backus of Tempe, Arizona and Sharon Campbell of Mesa, Arizona; sisters-in-law Mona Ray of Delaware, Ohio, and Diana Clouston of Eugene, Oregon; brother-in-law Larry (Joan) Vasko of Marion; special niece Sara Gibbons of Logan; and numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, and extended family.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Patricia Ray, Lois Gibbons, Jim Ray, Janice Clouston, Rosemary Vasko, Roy (Lois) Clouston, and John "Jack" Clouston; and father-in-law Richard Kline.

No services will be held at her request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lisa's name to the Nelsonville Food Cupboard. Arrangements are by the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio. Cora Kline
