Coralee D. Engle, age 87, went to be with the Lord, surrounded by her family on September 14, 2023, at her home in Longs, SC.
She was born in Carlos, MD in 1935, daughter of the late William Edgar and Mary Jane Thomas Drew.
She is preceded in death by her Husband, William "Bill" Engle; Granddaughter, Ann Elizabeth Winters; Grandson, David Engle; and Brothers: Bill, Danny, Harold, George, and Leo Drew; Sisters: Alice Henley, Margaret Reed, and Lois Fatkin.
Coralee was a strong Christian and devoted member of Eckhart United Methodist Church for over 70 years. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School, Summer Bible School, attending Bible Studies as well as other church activities. She and her husband opened their home to serve as Foster Parents to over 20 youngsters throughout the years. Coralee found joy working as a Kindergarten Teacher Assistant for 20 years at St. John Neumann School. She so enjoyed her years living on beautiful Rose Meadow Farm where Bill and she were widely known for their "Engle's Brown Eggs".
Coralee is survived by her daughter, Lori Winters and Husband, Herman of Longs, SC; son, Paul Engle and wife, Edna of Hardeeville, SC; three beloved grandchildren, Nathan and Andrew Winters, and Kelsey Engle. She was loved by her nieces and nephews and cherished her time with them.
Friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD, on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 from 10 A.M. to 12 Noon.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home following the visitation at 12 P.M. with Rev. George Harpold officiating.
Internment will be at Frostburg Memorial Park.
