Corbin Pennington, Jr., of Corbin, Kentucky, was born on May 20, 1944, in Leslie County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Corbin Pennington, Sr. and Alpha Turner Pennington.

He is survived by two sons, Jeff Pennington of Keavy, Kentucky, and Joey Pennington and his wife, Christina, of Louisville, Kentucky; three cherished grandchildren, Joey, Madelyn, and Lily; and three sisters, Shirley Farley, Mollie Baker, and Donna Gayle Mathews. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Corbin was preceded in death by one brother, Orie Pennington, and one sister, Pauline Lewis.

Corbin was a proud veteran of the United States military, having served his country during the Vietnam War. A hardworking and dedicated man, he retired in 2014 from EG&K, where he worked as a foreman. He was a faithful member of the Keavy Church of Christ.

Above all else, Corbin was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He treasured time spent camping in the mountains of his beloved Leslie County, sharing those moments with his sons and friends and creating memories that will be forever cherished.

Corbin Pennington, Jr. departed this life on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the age of 81 years, 6 months, and 30 days.

The funeral service for Corbin Pennington, Jr. will be conducted at 1 pm Monday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery in Keavy.

The family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon Monday until the funeral hour of 1 pm at Bowling Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Eugene Engle, Carl Engle, Lonnie Mathews, Mike Lewis, Richard Baker and Joe Pennington.
