Corey Benton Obituary
Corey Matthew Benton, 46, of Newberry, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at his home.
Born on March 13, 1979, in Conway, he was a son of Sherry Floyd Bradley and the late Carl Mack Benton, Jr. Corey served in the Marine’s as an aircraft airframe mechanic and was an employee of Archer United. He was a member of Restoration Outreach Church.
Corey loved life and enjoyed dirt bike riding, GNCC racing and fishing. Cooking was a favorite pastime for him. His greatest joy was spending time with his son Michael.
He is survived, in addition to his son, Michael Benton by his mother and step-father, Sherry and Joseph Ray Bradley; a brother, Wesley Carl Benton and sisters, Karena Thomas, Sabrina Hooper and Christina Dent and step-daughters, Samantha Lester and Mia Sluder.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Restoration Outreach Church. Burial with military honors will be at 2:00 pm at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
Memorials may be made to Restoration Outreach Church Building Fund, PO Box 1037, Newberry, SC 29108.
