Corey Bernard Wimberly was born to the late Lewis and Ida Mae Wimberly on September 13, 1969 in Paterson, NJ.
He was educated in the Paterson School District where he graduated from Eastside High School 1988.
On February 24, 2015, Corey married his life companion Arthur Flood.
Corey was a person of good-humored cheerfulness, friendly, lively and enjoyable. He will be remembered for his willingness to help others and make people laugh. He could brighten your day with his smile. It brought him great joy spending time with his loved ones, Arthur his grands and his daughters. He will be remembered for his willingness to help others, his smile, and his love for his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Lewis and Ida Mae Wimberly, his daughter; Haniyha Y. Brevard; two brothers; Warren and Anthony Wimberly.
Corey entered into eternal rest Wednesday May 11, 2022.
He leaves to cherish his memory his husband Arthur Flood; Three daughters Anazania Jackson, Alize Jackson, and Anastasia Wimberly of Paterson; Three brothers Ricky and Alfred Wimberly of Paterson, and Dwayne Troop of Georgia; Two sisters Jewelina McDowell and Bridgette Glenn of Paterson; Six grandchildren Janae and Kevin Brevard of South Carolina, Ty'la and Zuri Green, Sariyah Garnes and Amari Tatis all of Paterson; two aunts; Orbell of South Carolina and Barbara Hand of Paterson; 3 uncles; Willie Gray, and Billy Gray, both of South Carolina, and Raymond Gray of Paterson. He also leaves to cherish his memory two nephews, four nieces, and a host of cousins, other family members and friends.
