Corina Deleon Obituary
Corina was a devoted mother to 9 children and countless of grandchildren. Corina was hard working and always provided for her children. One of the family's favorite memories of Corina were the delicious homemade meals she prepared for not only her children and grandchildren, but their friends as well; especially her flour tortillas. Her doors were always open to friends and the entire neighborhood knew that they were always welcomed at Corina's home.
Welcoming her to Heaven are her parents Santos Resendez, Rosita Resendez Maydon; sisters Olivia Resendez Maydon and Rosalinda Resendez Maydon, brother Humberto Resendez Maydon; her daughter Maria T. de Leon and grandson Ovidio De La Fuente IV.
She is survived by her siblings, Ranulfo Resendez Maydon, Elvia Resendez Maydon, Juanita Resendez Maydon, Hector Resendez Maydon; 8 children: Norma Ramon, Arnold (Rosario) de Leon, Ismael de Leon, Rosaena de Leon (Bobby), Maricela De La Fuente, Criselda (Daniel) Tamez, Javier Carrizales, and Rene (Mari Carmen) de Leon, 24 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Corina will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 4:00 pm at Thomae- Garza Funeral Home located in downtown San Benito, TX. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude for the wonderful help and care given by Retama Manor Nursing Home in Harlingen TX for the last 5 and a half years or Corina's life.
All individuals are encouraged to follow CDC guidelines by socially distancing a minimum space of 6 feet apart and face covers or masks are recommended.
