Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels - NortheastNoel Louis DeLeon, Sr., a man whose fun-loving spirit and warm heart touched countless lives, was born on August 1, 1942, and entered heaven on February 11, 2026, leaving behind a family forever changed by his absence and forever blessed by his love.
He was born in Port Isabel, Texas and grew up in Corpus Christi, where he married Yolanda in 1967 and became a father to Monica and Noel, Jr. He moved the family to San Antonio in 1978 to follow his trade as an optician and ophthalmology technician. Later he joined a partnership in the funeral home business, developing an unwavering commitment to serving families during the loss of a loved one.
Noel lived a full and vibrant life filled with cherished moments alongside family and friends. He delighted in traveling while golfing, and creating lasting memories with the family, visiting theme parks, fishing and camping. Noel was a devout Catholic and proud member of the Knights of Columbus. He was active with the ACTS Community and with the religious education and bereavement ministries. He completed the Oblate Lay Ministry Formation
Program with a focus on bereavement and consolation, ministries close to his heart. The passing of his beloved son, Noel Jr., in 2016 profoundly deepened his faith and strengthened his devotion to helping others find peace and healing through God’s love.
Noel will be remembered as the wonderful man who graced so many lives with kindness, humor, and adventure. His family finds comfort in knowing his legacy endures through the hearts he touched and the memories that will forever bring smiles amid the tears.
Noel is survived by his devoted wife Yolanda, daughter Monica Montalvo, grandchildren Joseph and Gabriella Evans, great-granddaughter Eliana Evans, sister Mary Ann DeLeon and brother David DeLeon.
