Corinne Kathleen Brooks, age 91, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025. Corinne was born on September 16, 1934, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Everett and Margarite Kelley.
Corinne was a woman of many passions. She loved to dance, whose spirit would light up any room, a talented seamstress, a devoted fisherwoman who found joy in the serene moments spent on the lake, and her love of cooking was enjoyed by everyone.
Corinne is survived by her children Deborah (Joe) Colgan, Scott Brooks, Jeff Brooks and Sandra (Jeff) Leverenz; grandchildren Corinne Taylor, Margaret (Andy) McKenzie Palen, Emilie (Jim) Canales, Brooke (Luke) Venne and Keith Leverenz. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; along with nieces and nephews; her brother Everett Kelley; and life-long friends Dave and Vivian Kwarciany.
Corinne is preceded in death by her devoted husband of 70 years Thomas Brooks; siblings Patricia Krohn and John Kelley; parents Margarite and Everett Kelley; and sister-in-law Patricia Kelley.
In gratitude for the care and support given, we extend our heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff at Shorehaven, who treated Corinne with dignity and warmth.
A service will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Pagenkopf Funeral Home (2228 N. Silver Maple Lane, Oconomowoc, WI 53066) at 11:00 AM. The service will honor her spirit and the joy she brought to everyone around her. Following the service, there will be a brief period for dancing, a fitting tribute to her vibrant personality. A small luncheon will follow, where family and friends can come together to share stories, laughter, and love in her memory.
