Coritha Williams Obituary
On January 31, 2026, at the age of 96, Mrs. Coritha Williams answered the Master's call. and peacefully transitioned from labor to reward as God's angels gently carried her into eternal rest. Though she is no longer with us in body, her legacy of love, faith, and service will forever remain in our hearts.
Left to cherish her extraordinary life are 4 devoted daughters: Virginia Dupre and Claudia Jordan both of Eunice, LA, Ethel Lavigne of Killeen, TX and Beatrice Dupre of Corpus Cove, TX; 2 sons: Mark A. Dupre of Eunice, LA and Moses Dupre of Brandon, MS; a nephew that she nurtured as her own: John Williams; 15 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; 4 Godchildren: Ted Wayne Dupre, Brenda Smallwood, Natacha Banks and Nathaniel Banks; and other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents: John and Corine Williams; 1 son: Lawrence Dupre; a nephew that she nurtured: Jimmy Williams; 3 sisters: Ethel Arvie, Esther Palmer and Hazel Carter; 5 brothers: Earl Thomas, Cleveland Leday, Joseph Williams, Moses Thomas, Sr. and Eddie Williams; and 2 sons-in-laws: Roland Jordan and Dennis Lavigne, Sr.
Owens-Thomas Funeral Home of Eunice is in charge of arrangements.
