Dudley Pitre Obituary
On January 2, 2026, at the age of ninety-one, Dudley Joseph Pitre was gently called home. After a lengthy illness, God's angels carried him peacefully into eternal rest, reuniting him with his beloved bride and the loved ones who went before him.
Left to cherish his extraordinary life are his two devoted daughters and sons-in-law: Philomena Pitre Bernard and Joseph R. Bernard of Eunice, Louisiana, and Maria Goretti Pitre-Martin and Kenneth Martin of Clayton, North Carolina. Dudley was a proud and doting grandfather to Dudley Joseph Bernard and Nicodemus Pitre Bernard and his heart overflowed with joy as a great-grandfather to Christian Joseph Bernard and Leo Josiah Bernard. He is also lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law, Elsie (Amos-D), a brother-in-law: Parker (Rosa Mae-D); along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were forever changed by his kindness.
