Neil Florando

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Cornelio "Neil" Florando, who departed this life on September 25, 2025, at the age of 96. Born on March 31, 1929, in the Philippines, Cornelio lived a long and meaningful life rooted in love, humility, and quiet strength.

A man of integrity and deep compassion, Neil touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing him. He was a steady presence-wise, kind, and generous. His legacy is reflected in the values he instilled in his family and the warmth he shared with friends and community.

Neil had a lifelong love of staying active. He enjoyed a wide variety of sports, particularly golf and tennis, and remained engaged and competitive well into his later years. A prime example of his enduring spirit was his participation in the Senior Olympics, where he competed in badminton-a true testament to his vitality and determination.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Josefina; his sons, Stanley and Jeffrey (wife Amy); and his cherished granddaughters, Yumiko and Kimiko, who brought him endless joy and pride. Neil carries forward his legacy of love, resilience, and grace.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Avenue, Middletown, OH 45005. All who knew and loved Cornelio are welcome to attend and honor his memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages quiet acts of kindness or reflection in his memory-living as Neil did: simply, generously, and with love.

Though he may be gone from our sight, Neil Florando will remain forever in our hearts.
