A cherished Husband, Father, Grandfather,
Lifetime Service Man and friend!
Cornelius (Sully, CJ, Neil)! Born in Dale, Minnesota to Cornelius Joseph
Sullivan & Alice Lucinda Brown on March 28, 1930. Died on October 29,
2024, peacefully in Kingman, Arizona.
So grateful for his strength, dedication, motivation, resilience, willpower
and love. Our father was so perfect to us and will be forever in our hearts.
Cornelius devoted an entire lifetime of service to State and Country beginning
with active duty with the United States Army in 1946, through the
Korean Conflict, and culminating as an honored and much respected Chief
Warrant Officer 3 in the Alaska National Guard. He always said once a
soldier always a soldier.
Cornelius was recognized for outstanding work in support of Guard
Equipment Maintenance Efforts. He was recognized for his patriotism, and
received the Army Commendation Medal by the Secretary of the Army. He
was also awarded the Alaska Distinguished Service Medal for exceptionally
meritorious conduct and outstanding service of over 30 years.
Our father is joined in Heaven with his beloved Wife, Donna, of almost
72 years! A love that showed our family what true love is! Cornelius will
be forever in our hearts and souls until we meet again!
There are no words big enough, a hug strong enough or a smile wide
enough to show you how we see you as our HERO!
As children, you were our father and our strength. You helped us grow
through life's laughter and tears and always stood by our side. You were
strong and worked so hard to shower us children with love and took care
of us more than words can say! You showed a faithful devotion as a father
does for his children! The many things you sacrificed for your children is
beyond words! Thank you for all your love Dad!
When we brought our own children home your commitment grew, helped
with them, played with them and only as a grandfather can do! Your grandchildren,
great grandchildren and great great grandchildren came to adore
you and have such sweet memories in their hearts for a lifetime. You leave
behind several grandkids and great grandkids!
As long as we live, you will live, as long as we live you will be remembered,
as long as we live you will be loved!
Dad your work on earth is done, and until we meet again,
Go Rest High on that Mountain in Heaven
praising the Father and the Son!
