Cornell Stewart Obituary
Cornell attended Austin public schools and the former L.C. Anderson High School.
Cornell accepted Christ at an early age and was a long-standing member of Metropolitan AME Church, under the leadership of Reverend N. Jordan Mkwanazi. He was an active member of the mass choir and Men of Valor un.
Austin National Bank employed him before transitioning to Travis State School, where he later retired.
Cornell enjoyed visiting thrift stores, discovering unique finds, and spending quality time with his family.
Cornell departed this life on March 15, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cornell Sr. and Lula Belle Stewart. Brothers Karl E. Stewart Sr. and Mark W. Stewart. Brother-in-laws Norris Henry, Sam Brown, and Bruce Talley.
He leaves behind cherished memories with his daughters: Angela Stewart, Angie Stewart, and Serena Stewart. Grandsons: Mychi, Germaine, and Derrick. Granddaughter: Caprisha. 6 great-grandchildren. Sisters: Connie Henry, Barbara Brown, Amelia Stewart, Alice Nelson (Oscar), and Karen Talley. Brother: Darrell L. Stewart (Sheila) and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
