Cornilla “Lynn” Self Callahan, 58, of Charleston, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, October 25, 2025 following a lengthy illness.
Lynn was born in Cleveland, TN on February 5, 1967 to the late Uless and Celia Virginia Huggins Self.
Lynn was a loving wife, mother, sister and faithful friend. Food was her love language. If she ever cooked for you, know that she loved you. She was generous with her time and talents for any occasion, be it birthdays, holidays , wedding, baby showers or church functions. She would always be there with her famous fried pies, apple stack cakes, or some other delicious treat.
Lynn is having a joyful reunion in heaven with her precious son; Andrew Lee “Wiggle” Callahan.
In addition to her parents and her sweet Wiggle, Lynn is preceded in death by her father-in-law; Donald Callahan and her grandmother-in-law; Reba Callahan, sisters; Connie Mantooth and Sandy Johnson, brothers; Tipton Self, Jackie Self and Howard Johnson, brother-in-law; Claude Mantooth, sisters-in-law; Rebecca self, Kathy Montgomery and Glenda Johnson, niece; Winnie Lynn Burris and her son Riley Burris.
Lynn leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 33 years; Ronald Callahan, their son, Dillon Callahan as well as her fur grandbaby; NoNo, mother-in-law; Jarry Callahan, brothers; David Johnson, Jimmy Johnson and Jerry Self (Barbara), sisters; Dyan “Cookie” King (Kenneth “Bird”), Tammy Hodgson (Jim), sisters-in-law; Tina Callahan, Dorissa Stamey and Gayla Brunk (Garry).
Lynn’s nieces and nephews will miss their “Aunt Dolly’s” generosity and sense of humor. Celia Wynne (John), Heather, Christopher and Jonathan King, David Self, Claude Mantooth, Jr., Virginia Redmon, Kenneth Johnson, Tara White, Samuel Dale Johnson, Jimmy Johnson, Jr., Bailey Holmes, Cage McDowell, Rosie and Cora Callahan, Scott (Ella) Montgomery, Elizabeth Montgomery and Amanda (Wilbur) McGarvey.
Lynn is also survived by several great-nieces and nephews and her dear friends and bonus family; Frankie, Kimberly and Andy Lockhart.
Lynn was retired from Peyton’s Southeastern after 39 years of service.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 from 3-5 PM at Poole Funeral Home 3000 Ralph Buckner Blvd. A celebration of life service will follow at 5PM with Pastors Billy and Sandy Leamon officiating.
Lynn’s family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Dialysis Care Center of Cleveland and Amedisys Home Healthcare and Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
