DADE CITY, FLORIDA-Corrine Keast, 94, died peacefully on Friday July, 4, 2025, in Florida. She was born September 1, 1930, in Skowhegan, Maine, the daughter of George and Alvina Huard.
Born in Skowhegan, Corrine was raised by her grandparents in Skowhegan. Corrine married after graduating high school and was a home maker and helped daily on the family farm in Canaan. She was a hard worker and held various jobs over the years. She was employed as an x-ray technician at Redington Fairview Hospital in Skowhegan, library aid for the Skowhegan High School, and a realtor for Patriot Realty in Skowhegan. She had a matter of fact personality. She loved to knit on her machines, making many sweaters, hats, and Christmas stockings for everyone in the family. Her mornings started every day with the local newspaper and the daily puzzles. She always had a crossword puzzle in the works.
She is survived by her children: Royce "Butch" Jewell Jr and companion Tannya Morris, Joe Jewell and companion Pam Pelotte, Robin Fernald and husband Barry, and Lloyd "Rusty" Keast and wife Kathi; longtime companion Thomas Kivler; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Bo.
She was predeceased by her son, Dale Jewell; daughter-in-law, Arlyce; grandson, Alex; granddaughter, Elaine; sisters: Marguerite Thibault and Lorraine Whitney; and beloved dog, Buffy.
A joint graveside service for Corrine and Rose Fernald will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, August 14, 2025, at the Fairview Cemetery, Canaan, with Pastor Kevin Brooks officiating.
