Cory Joe Deyoung

Cory Joe Deyoung, 58, passed away July 31, 2021. He was born June 21, 1963 to Joe and Joanne DeYoung.
Cory grew up in Bountiful and attended Viewmont High School.
Cory was a curious kid who was always taking things apart and putting them back together, always wanting to know how things worked.
Cory loved music, camping, fishing and skiing. He loved spending time with his family. He also loved having coffee with his dad every morning.
He married Kim Woods on June 4, 1988. They had 1 child, Casey. They were later divorced.
He later married Sydney Elg on April 17, 1998. Together, they raised 3 children, Casey, Haley and Ashley. They spent lots of time outdoors camping, wave-running, fishing and went on many family vacations.
He adored his six grandchildren, Presley, Harper, Cooper, Rhiver, Nash and Ryan. They were the light of his life.
Cory is survived by his wife, Syd; children: Casey (Cassie) DeYoung, Hayley (Josh) Burdick and Ashley Osborne; sisters, Katy Bianchi (Will Moss) Alison (Tony) Leiker; and grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
When tomorrow starts without me don't think we're far apart, for every time you think of me, I'm right here in your heart.
The family would like to thank Dr. Michael P. Collins for his unwavering care and support throughout Cory's life.
Private services to be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Washington Lake in the Uintas.
