Funeral service for Cory Glover, age 44 of Sulphur Springs, Texas will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Dr. Jeff Gravens and Bro Tim Potts officiating. Interment will follow at Richland Cemetery with Carlos Amaya, Clay Smith, Canyon Smith, Brad Stephens, James Branch and James Schumacher serving as pallbearers and his indoor soccer kids serving as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mr. Glover passed away on March 12, 2023 at Christus Mother Frances – Tyler.
Cory was born on April 17, 1978 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Joe N and Linda (Gooding) Glover. He married Callie Smith on October 23, 2010 in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Cory earned his associated degree and worked for Bank-Tec South as an IT Specialist. He was actively involved with Sulphur Springs Indoor Soccer as a coach.
He is survived by his wife, Callie; daughters, Maci Glover, Vada Glover, Quinn Glover, Olivia Glover and Lettie Glover; parents, Linda and Joe Glover; mother and father-in-law, Julie and Barry Smith; brother-in-law, Clay Smith and wife, Dichele; uncles and aunts, Nita and John Merrill and Jerrold and Teresa Gooding; cousins, Rene Stephens, Mailee Kirkbride, Wayne Gooding, Katie Branch, Uleta Williams, Alyssa Jackson, Robert Hilger, John Davis, Diane Good, Katie Branch, John Swann, Stephen Swann, Gina Lancaster, Zane Merrill and Lisa Pickard.
Cory was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Vada Gooding, Christine and Thad Glover; uncles, Don Gooding and Dee Wayne Gooding.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
