Cory VanAusdal, age 55, of Santaquin passed away at his home April 4, 2025 due to heart failure and other health problems. He was born October 25, 1969 in Provo, Utah to Donald & Nelda VanAusdal. He married the love of his life Elizabeth Patten in Payson, Utah on July 13, 1991. From 1990-1997 Cory worked for the Rio Grande Railroad. He then worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for the rest of his time.
One of his favorite hobbies was he loved to mud race! He was one of the founding members of H.M.R.A (Hometown Mud Racers Association), and he loved his Mountain Dew! He always said though that his biggest and best accomplishment was having his beautiful daughters. Cory's family was his whole world. He had 7 grandchildren and was just as an amazing grandfather as he was a father.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth; daughters Stephanie (Mario) Vega, and Tiffany (Tayler) Kester; mother Nelda VanAusdal; sisters Dyanne (Buckley) Hubert, and Julie (Paul) Foster; brother Kenneth (Peggy) VanAusdal; granddaughters Baizlee Spencer and Taya Kester; grandsons Makai, Marcus Vega, and TJ, Talen, Tanner Kester. He's preceded in death by his father Donald VanAusdal; sister Tammy VanAusdal, and his niece Ashley Warenski.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 12th at 11:00 am in the Santaquin LDS Chapel located at 90 South 200 East. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:30 - 10:45 am prior to services. Burial will be at Santaquin Cemetery following services.
