Mr. Cosmo Nathan Watford Sr., a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully to be with his Savior at 3:18 pm on Sunday, August 10, 2025, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born on November 24, 1952, to the union of Howell and Sarah Watford. Cosmo's life was a tapestry of hard work, creativity, and devotion to his loved ones. Cosmo spent his professional life mastering the trades of welding and meat cutting, skills that displayed his precise hand and diligence. In addition to his work, Cosmo was an artist at heart, with a passion for artwork and drawing that brought beauty into the world and joy to those around him. He was a peculiar gentleman that possessed a unique style of fashion, along with a love for roller-skating, custom-made jewelry and cars, primarily Cadillac cars.

His family was the cornerstone of his life. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, beloved wife, Patricia Pas, his daughters, Pamela Merriweather, Dalana Coley, Tamesha Gullatt and Tamara Watford-Brown, his sons, Morrell Jones, Darnell Wilson, John Watford, Cornelius Watford, and Cosmo Watford Jr. His legacy will live on through his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, who will carry forward the lessons of financial awareness and perseverance. Cosmo also leaves to cherish his memory, sisters, Carol Ann Pettus-Berry, Toya Foster, Warnita Dotson, Jaqueline Harvey, Paulette Watford, Gina Williams, Mary Willis, and Theresa Davis, his brothers, Howard Watford, Bobby Watford, Daryl Watford, Dell Ray Smith and Elbert Watford, a host of special nieces and nephews and a caregiver- nephew, Dominic Hubbard, whom will miss the deep conversations and shared moments that defined their bond. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howell Watford Sr. and Sarah Watford-Smith, his grandparents, Cornelius and Carol Valentine, his stepfather Wardell Smith, his sons Cosmo Watford II, Marcos Williams and Dalano Watford, his brothers Tyrone Watford and Charles Watford.

In his own words, Cosmo would often say, "Don't mourn; carry on because everybody gets a turn." This simple yet profound statement encapsulates his approach to life, encouraging us all to persevere and find joy in the journey. Cosmo Nathan Watford Sr's memory will be treasured, and his spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him.
