Donna Taber Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Palmer Funeral Homes - Guisinger Chapel on Aug. 18, 2025.
Donna L. Taber, passed away peacefully on the 12th of August, 2025, at the age of 80, surrounded by her family. Born on November 12, 1944, in South Bend, Indiana, Donna's early years laid the foundation for a life marked by dedication, warmth, and the joy of simple pleasures.
Donna, a proud graduate of Penn High School's class of 1962, carried with her the fond memories of her formative years and the friendships she made. As she ventured into adulthood, she found her calling as a bus driver for United Limo, a role she held for over thirty years. Her unwavering dedication to her work and the countless passengers she met along the way exemplified her commitment to her community and her earnest desire to make a difference.
A devoted mother, sister, and friend, Donna's family was the epicenter of her world. She was preceded by her loving parents, Lloyd and Lucille (Bankston) Taber, and her dear sister, Ann Healey. Her memory will be forever cherished and kept alive through her beloved son, Michael Taber; her caring sister, Jean (Ernie) Geski; and her brothers, Dave and Danny Taber.
Donna's interests were a reflection of her sociable and nurturing nature. She had a talent for crocheting. She spent countless hours entertaining the neighborhood children leaving a lasting impression on many young hearts in the neighborhood.
Donna's loved to watch the Kentucky Derby and the Triple Crown with whom she shared these special moments with her son, Michael, as they cheered with anticipation and excitement during each race. Notre Dame sporting events were also treasured times, as she and Michael would revel in the camaraderie and thrill of the games.

At this time per the family's wishes, there will be no services. Palmer Funeral Guisinger Chapel is assisting the family with final arrangements.
