Costanzo "Stan" Gesualdi, 60, of Danvers, passed away on January 14, 2025, following a sudden heart attack. He was the devoted husband of Allison (Cloutman) Gesualdi, with whom they shared 17 years together.
Born in Danvers on May 7, 1964, he was the son of Guiseppina (DeLuca) Gesualdi of Danvers and the late Giovanni Gesualdi. Stan was a lifelong resident of Danvers and graduated from Danvers High School in 1982. He received his bachelor's degree in math from Salem State College.
Stan was an admired, diligent, and successful businessman. He started as a young man at the age of 17 working in his family's business, The Plaza Motel in Peabody, MA. While his parents continued to purchase additional properties, his career transitioned to being the family's property manager, alongside his parents. As time went on he started his own path of purchasing real estate on his own.
Stan was a faithful New England Sports fan and avid card player, but his passion was being a coach for many athletes, who referred to him as "Coach Ges". He was the Coach of many teams in the area. He began his coaching journey coaching multiple basketball teams including Danvers Boys and Girls Basketball, Masconomet Middle School Boys Basketball, and Endicott College Boys Basketball. Then he spent a couple years coaching his daughter's Danvers Girls Youth Soccer team. Alongside basketball and soccer, his true joy and expertise was shown through his love for coaching boys baseball. He devoted many years to the Danvers National Little League program, mentoring and leading many of the teams to several victories. Additionally, he coached a couple club baseball teams that included Show, Extra Innings, and Canes.
Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He adored and loved his nieces, nephews, and his only daughter Rachel. He always spent quality time with them and supported them any way he could. His selflessness, humor, and kindheartedness will be forever missed by everyone.
In addition to his wife, Allison and mother Guiseppina, he is survived by his daughter Rachel Evans of Danvers, his siblings, Angelina Gesualdi-Hurley of Middleton, Danny Gesualdi of Danvers and Lisa Robinson of Danvers, his nieces and nephews, John and Vanessa Hurley and Kayla, Tyler and Nicholas Robinson, many aunts, uncles and cousins and dear friends. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, John Hurley.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10AM on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7PM on Monday, January 20, 2025 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Coach Stan Gesualdi Scholarship Fund at PO Box 423 Hathorne, MA 01937-0423. Online directions and condolences are available at www.LyonsFuneral.com
