With sadness Craig E. Both, 65 years old of Atlantic, Iowa unexpectedly passed away on July 24, 2023 in Overland Park, Kansas. The funeral service will take place on Thursday July 27, 2023 at 11am at Louis Memorial Chapel on 6830 Troost Avenue Kansas City, MO 64131. Following the service there will be a processional to Mount Carmel Cemetery 5529 Ditzler Avenue Raytown, MO 64133.
Craig was born on April 13, 1958 to Marilyn and Darrell Both. Craig grew up on the family farm and enjoyed his time outside baling hay, taking care of the animals, and planting crops. He was in the FFA/County Fair to show his pigs. Craig attended Ellsworth College in Iowa Falls, IA. As a member of the football team, he played in the 1976 Junior Rose Bowl and despite losing to Bakersfield the team was named the NJCAA National Champions. He moved to Kansas City in 1980 to start his career in the financial industry with BC Christopher. He spent most of his career at IFTC and State Street. Amy and Craig were married in 1992. Throughout their marriage they enjoyed riding motorcycles, traveling to all the lower 48 states, spending time with family, and eating delicious foods.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, grandparents, his sister (Stacey Ann), and two first cousins. He is survived by Amy Both, Brian Both, Ezra and Arlo Both, Debbie Kennedy (Mark), Craig, Kyle, Sarah, Hannah, Rebecca, and Jana (Nieces and nephews), Susan Lovell, and Michael and Marcia (brother in-law and sister in-law) as well as many great nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Take care of yourselves. I went yo school with Craig in elementary school. He was a big teddy bear. He was a gentle guy with a big heart. He was always kind to me
